Montessori Teacher Training Program at UC Irvine is the only
Montessori preparation program which offers college credit from a
public university that is recognized both in Montessori Schools
and by the State of California Community Care Licensing as the
core of required units for all early childhood programs.

The program Coordinator, Cheryll R. Ruszat, is a
Montessori Teacher who brings more than 30 years of classroom and

brings excitement and creativity to the program and focuses on the
quality of the students' experience in the training.

University Montessori School sits on the beautiful
Orange County Campus of the University of California, Irvine.
This model, award winning facility has a dedicated training
facillity to support all facets of the metamorphosis from student
to outstanding Montessori Directress./Guide. A full range of
beautiful Montessori materials support the hands-on learning of
techniques and clarify learning sequence. Workshops provide
students with many valuable materials to take with them as a part
of this program. University Montessori School, the program
lab school provides a model children's program during the day
which is available to students for observation, practice and a
resource for ideas.
The move into the 21st century brings with it
innovative and efficient means for producing materials for early
childhood classrooms as well as enhancing adult studies.
This course uses mixed media to provide optimal learning and
extend resources for student use. A computer and internet
